Opportunities to serve through ARMS are many and varied. Both full time and part time positions are available.

ARMS is a volunteer organization and pays no wages to its staff, but everyone who serves with ARMS does so on a volunteer basis. Each staff member is responsible to pay for their own living and travel expenses.

ARMS Australian offices are found in in Melbourne (National Office), Darwin, Perth, Townsville, Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Sydney (RescueNet), Canberra,  and Adelaide (Reverse the Curse). We also have offices in East Timor and Cambodia, and we are about to open one in the United States. All these offices have staff needs and opportunities for part time or full time volunteer service.

Full Time Long Term Staff (People serving more than two years)

There is a requirement that people joining our long term fulltime staff must have sucessfully completed a Cerificate 3 in Discipleship (DTS) before they can apply. More about this course can be found here.

Part time staff or short term volunteers may have to do some on the job training depending on where they are serving and the type of situation they are serving in.

As ARMS staff deal with children in many different situations, the ARMS Board have made it compulsory for all longer term staff and volunteers who are working in areas where there are children to be willing to undergo a police check as part of their application process. (this is also an essential Australian Government Immigration requirement for all overseas applicants)

Short Term Staff / Part Time Staff

ARMS also has opportunities for part time and short term  volunteers who can be involved in various aspects of our day to day running, or who can be involved in short term outreaches to various project through our Mercy Adventures program.

Part Time volunteers can help us in a variety of ways and each ARMS office will be best able to let you know their particular needs.

Short term volunteers can be of great service to us both in the office and also on the field. Builders, Doctors, Nurses, Teachers and other professionals can serve in an overseas capacity as can unskilled workers who are will to donate their time to ARMS.
