Mercy Adventures is an exciting new ministry of ARMS that will help take you out of your comfort zone and into a place where you and your skills can directly benefit poor communities.
In 2006 ARMS will be offering a range of opportunities whereby medical personnel, builders, or just everyday people can travel to locations and over a two to three week period can use their skills on the field. Some Mercy Adventure outreaches will be aimed at specifically skilled people, others any one can come on.
Opportunties already exist in many places such as East Timor, Thailand and Cambodia. Just think, next summer you could be staffing a medical clinic in a hill tribe village, building houses in a poor community, working in an orphanage or refugee camp or just helping out somewhere; giving your time and skills to commu nities or mercy ministry projects and helping them to achieve new goals that will change lives.
Mercy Adventures outreaches will commence with a few days training at the ARMS location hosting the outreach. After this training time teams will go to their various locations. Each team will be led by experienced leaders.
All participants are expected to pay for their own travel and living costs whilst in the field. Want to know more? Then email the ARMS National Office at info@arms.org.au Application forms for Mercy Adventures are available on request.
Mercy Adventures is an exciting way for you to spend your holidays. Plan to come in 2006. International participants from countries outside of Australia and New Zealand are welcome to apply.
